Colt M1911
![Picture](/uploads/4/5/1/8/4518439/1294536224.png)
The Colt M1911 is one of the first semi automatic weapons adopted by the US Military. The new age of blowback and self reloading was taking over slow firing revolvers. This pistol was needed for its power, durability, and semi firing capabilities. In the Phillipine-American war the Moros were using drugs to let them get away even if shot. The newly introduced .45 caliber semi automatic M1911 was able to knock enemies down even when they were high on Drugs. This pistol remained the chosen pistol of the USA until it was replaced by The Beretta 92f with the 9x19mm Parabellum round. It was used 100 years by the US military even though it was replaced in 1985. After Vietnam the gun was showing age but it still was used unofficially years after.
